Excellence in Quality at JSI

JSI understands that we are an extension of your company’s supply chain and that quality is top priority. We go to great lengths to ensure that a focus on quality is a part of all that we do. JSI has multi-tiered, independent, quality departments throughout the world whose sole focus is to maintain and improve upon our high quality standards. As a reflection of this, JSI has invested heavily in our quality programs as referenced in the formal, internationally recognized quality certifications below.

UL and SGS ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Simply put, ISO 9001 is a foundation for running a business well and JSI takes pride in carrying both a UL and SGS registered ISO 9001:2008 certification. ISO 9001 certification demonstrates the capability of an organization to control the processes that ensure their products and services will meet their customers’ requirements each and every time. In a global market, this initiative is quickly becoming a requirement for companies who expect to compete internationally.

13485 Certification

ISO 13485:2003 outlines requirements for a quality management system for an organization that needs to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory requirements pertaining to medical devices and related services. While it is a stand-alone certification, ISO 13485 is generally correlated with ISO 9001. JSI is ISO 13845 certified.

ISO 14001 Certification

ISO 14000 refers to a series of voluntary standards in the environmental field under development by ISO. Included in the ISO 14000 series are the ISO 14001 EMS Standard and other standards in fields such as environmental auditing, environmental performance evaluation, environmental labeling, and life-cycle assessment. The EMS and auditing standards are now final. The others are in various stages of development. ISO 14001 was first published in 1996 and specifies the actual requirements for an environmental management system. It applies to those environmental aspects which the organization has control and over which it can be expected to have an influence.

C-TPAT Certification

From the launch of the program, JSI worked hard to qualify for and receive a fully validated Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certification. C-TPAT is a voluntary program established by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) open to all sectors of the supply chain industry. It was established to build cooperative relationships that strengthen and improve international supply chain and U.S. border security. As one of the early adopters to obtain a fully validated C-TPAT certification, JSI demonstrates its forward thinking and well refined internal processes, as well as how the facilities that it employs from various partners around the world, are safe, secure and compliant.
