Position Summary

EXPORT AGENT, San Francisco, CA

Position Summary

Process all aspects of Export Shipments with 100% accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set up weekly consolidation schedules, based on service and price, and booking space if needed
  • Book non-consolidated freight; direct AWB, and ad hoc consols, as required
  • Review warehouse for shipments that arrived via Federal Express, UPS, and other carriers
  • Prepare files for processing
  • Process and generate AWB’s with 100% accuracy and ensure cut-offs are made
  • Audit all aspects of the file generated, i.e. capture cost information to ensure the profitability of the department
  • Close consolidations including preparing master AWB and Consolidation Manifest for Carriers
  • Correspondence (both written and verbal) with customers and vendors
